WATCH OUT! An Annual High School Art Competition

Bismarck Studios is proud to be the founder of Watch Out!, 2nd annual city wide art competition and art show for High School Students an annual City-Wide Art Competition for High Schoolstudents during Contemporary Art Month. Click here to participate on Watch Out! 2012

 

OUR LAST YEAR EVENT,  Guest Juror was David Rubin, the Curator for contemporary art at the San Antonio Museum of Art. We had 11 high schools, 19 teachers, and 196 High-School students participating.

Joaquin Castro Watch Out Art Competition High School Students gallery galleries contemporary          David Rubin was amazed about the quality of art work entered. He stated, that there was a lot of work with a lot of merit. He finally decided not only on the work that would make it into the show but also the First place, Second Place, and Third Place. He also awarded 3 Honorable Mentions to art work that also struck him as note worthy.

State Representative Joaquin Castro announced the winners with David Rubin.
